Knit City 2014 round up!
When we booked the PNE Forum for Knit City 2014, we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. We really didn’t know what to expect – how would it look? Would people like the new location? All we knew is that we needed more space because our show was growing fast.
Planning for the new venue was a lot like planning for a whole new show and we definitely had a challenging year of trying to make it work. And while the Forum wasn’t perfect in every way, it was a huge improvement from our old digs at the Croatian Cultural Centre. We’ve had overwhelmingly positive feedback about this years show so far (thank you!) and saw a substantial increase in attendance.
In short, the gamble paid off. We really took Knit City to another level this year and by “we” I mean not only Amanda and I, but all of you: the sponsors, the class instructors, the vendors, the demonstrators, the volunteers and the attendees that helped make Knit City 2014 such a success.
Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts, for being part of Knit City. An extra special thanks to our team of amazing, energetic, friendly and reliable volunteers – we love and appreciate you so much.
We have already booked the Forum for another year (first weekend of October 2015!) and look forward to holding many more shows there in the future. If you have any feedback you’d like to share about this years show, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org – we welcome all ideas and suggestions.
Now without further adieu, please enjoy a re-cap of Knit City 2014 in photos. Thanks to Patrick King of PK Media for capturing the show so well .
