On Friday night, Amanda and I went to the Island book launch party at Urban Yarns.  We had so much fun hanging out with Jane Richmond, Shannon from luvinthemummyhood and the Urban Yarns gang.

Jane and Shannon are both so lovely and talented, and it was really inspirational to hear the story behind the production of Island.

All of Jane’s patterns were on display, old and new. Everyone who tried on these cardigans immediately wanted to make them. Including me.

 

Jane also visited Baaad Anna’s, 88 Stitches and Unwind Knit and Fibre Lounge as part of her book tour. We’re so proud of this local designer and how successful Island has been so far. Congrats Jane -we hope you have many more books (and book tours) to come in the future.
