We did it! The Fair at the PNE opened this weekend for it’s 104th year, and we are so proud to have been a part of it thanks to the hard work of our knitting community!
Countless knitting and crocheting hours went into preparing the hundreds of flags, stripes, panels and flowers we used to decorate the bridge and tree-lined pathway at Sanctuary Lake on the PNE Fairgrounds. Thank you to all of the volunteers who donated their time and yarn to our project. We could not have done it without you! A very special thank you goes to Louise Prosser and Melanie Achen for helping us set up the installation.
The Fair at the PNE runs until Sept 1, and the yarn bomb will be up until that time should you wish to visit. Please share pics of it on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, and tag us @knitsocial.
May the following individuals and organizations be blessed with tangle free yarn and tireless hands, forever and ever:
Burnaby Library – Tommy Douglas Branch
VPL- Mount Pleasant Branch
Township Of Langley employees knitting group
BC Centre for Disease Control
In the unfortunate event that I have missed adding your name, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will add you asap.
