Knit City wouldn’t be possible without the support from our amazing sponsors.
We will be featuring all of our sponsors here on the Knit City blog. Please take a moment to check these fine folks out!
In the spotlight this week is The Wacky Windmill, a Cotton Sponsor.
The Wacky Windmill is a small online shop with a focus on colourful, quality, hand-dyed yarns and fibres. Their studio is located in Southern Alberta, in the village of Barons, where you are likely to find the owner and operator Kim up to her elbows in wool & dye developing new colour combinations for your crafting enjoyment!
The Wacky Windmill opened in 2011 with the encouragement of close friends, and since then has been constantly growing to incorporate new products to meet the needs of fibre artisans. In an effort to delight spinners, you will frequently find luxury fibre batts in the shop as well as a rainbow selection of commercial top. Fibres that are commonly stocked include but are not limited to BFL, Merino, Silk, & Polwarth. They also carry a fun collection of sock, dk and worsted weight yarns. Colourways include standards as well as unique one of a kind dyelots which are the result of letting the imagination soar. Custom orders are also welcome.
We are thrilled to have The Wacky Windmill as a sponsor for Knit City 2013. Thanks for your support, Kim!
